Troubleshooting Tips
Troubleshooting:
If you’re experiencing problems with your on-hold player please use our troubleshooting guide.
- Unplug the power supply, count to 10, and then plug it back in.
- Confirm that the RCA cable is firmly plugged into the 600ohm port on the player, and be sure that it’s connected to the audio port on your phone equipment. This audio port can sometimes be labeled “Music on-hold” “MOH” or “Audio In.” If you’re having trouble locating the audio port on your phone equipment, please contact your phone vendor.
- If you have a USB player remove the thumb drive and ensure there is only one MP3 installed. If there is more than one MP3 on the USB drive you need to delete the other file.
- Certain on-hold players have a speaker button. If you can hear your on-hold production playing normally using the player’s speaker function, then there is either a problem with the RCA cable or with the phone system equipment.
